Get to Know Cathy Mahady, Home Business Coach
What an incredible journey it has been. I began my career in the
Network Marketing profession in June 2003.
I was finishing up a six month maternity leave from my job with the County’s
Human Services Dept, when I realized I could NOT return to work outside the
home.
After waiting eight years
for the arrival of our precious little girl, I
could not bring myself to place her in daycare and give someone else the
pleasure of caring for her every day. And now seven years later, as I
successfully work my business from the comfort of our home, she
sits with me asking me to tell her the story about how
special she is to us.
 

My family has always come
first, but that didn't stop me from wanting to continue a career — I just
wanted to do it from home. My husband, Dan, my son, my daughter — they are WHY I do this business. I want to be fully available
for my family, but I also have a huge desire to build our future.
I wanted a
career, but even more, I didn’t want that career to take me away from
the most important thing in my life — my family. My business
allows me the freedom to work when, where, and how I want. As long
as I have my laptop and a cell phone, I am in business.
I didn't seek out a health
and wellness company to build my future upon. But it all came together and just
seemed like a perfect fit when this new innovative company was introduced. I was
impressed that this new healthy nutritional drink company was backed by the reputation
and infrastructure of a highly successful and profitable veteran company in the
Network Marketing industry.
I did want a ground floor
opportunity that had a consumable, high quality product that people
really would buy, a management team with integrity who would always make
decisions with the distributor's best interest at heart, and a reliable and
innovative team that would be there for ongoing training and support. I found
ALL that and more!
I initially started in
Network Marketing focused more on the direct sales aspect of the business
model. I decided that I could SELL, but I was NOT going to recruit. I had tried
that and it didn't work for me.
Because of my life
circumstances at the time with a teenager, who was heavily involved with three
different Varsity level sports and a preschooler, to whom I am a full time mom,
I wanted more flexibility. I needed to determine what was best for me and
my family. I needed more options.
I decided that the best
way to build my home business WAS to sponsor. I discovered that my passion is to
teach, coach, and mentor others to success — so it ultimately became a
perfect match for me to team build.
So what changed for me?
I learned and came to respect that mentoring others was nothing like recruiting
(a word we are often afraid of). It became apparent to me that with a good product
and reputable company it was not necessary for me to beg, prod, or try to convince
others that this was what they needed to do. It was something my new partners quickly
determined for themselves — that this was an opportunity they wanted to
be a part of. Once they made that decision, my passion to help them “Accomplish
the Dream” was easily realized.
As you can see I value family
foremost. But I also believe in honesty, loyalty, dedication, and striving for excellence
— in what ever is your passion. And my coaching business has become my passion.
I am so fortunate that I now have the
wonderful opportunity to combine my desire to be available for my family, my
love of mentoring others to success, my interest in the internet, and have fun
doing it all. So my greatest desire is to help others now do the same thing.
I get goose bumps when I hear people passionately share their desires for a better
life — dreams they want to accomplish.
